A mentoring initiative that throws new talent a life raft…
INSPIRATION DON'T COME EASY. And it doesn’t strike on demand.

For every Pip Brown (Ladyhawke) or George Gorrow (ksubi) who overcomes a million hurdles and who rises triumphantly from the primordial slime of their suburban bedrooms, a thousand others never get the lift or the bolt of inspiration to get them over the parapet.

the bubble exists as a plugged-in populace for young talent to be found, recognised and nurtured.


Here’s how the bubble works

You bright young things (photographers, writers, artists in all mediums, filmmakers, musicians, designers and anyone else with a great visual or communicative skill) are encouraged to submit your work online.

And every two months, the creators of the most interesting work, as determined by the voting public, are commissioned to produce material to be displayed in stores, supported to stage their own exhibitions, gigs or readings, as well as being featured in the pages of the bubble's media partners, Russh and Monster Children.

Our grand plan?

We discover enough talent out there to form a collective whom we can employ as consultants. And, to kick ’em further along the road toward gainful employment, we fund and promote the group so they’re nailing jobs outside of General Pants Co.

Ambitious? Maybe.

At the very least, we will produce a volume of the bubble's best work, with proceeds of its sale going back to the artisans involved. At its core, the bubble reflects General Pants Co.’s desire to share the best of young Australian talent with the world.
