These are my responses to briefs set up in the collective I am a part of P.M.I.P (Pay Me In Pixels).
The first one: We had to express in an image our thoughts of trains. For me trains have always been a symbol of growing up - the first time being on a train alone meant that you were a grown up!
This was my rationale:
Everything is wonderful in retrospect Dreaming about traveling on a train one day, just like all the grown ups, you sit and wonder what sort of person you would be.
Now you travel alone, you look back and wonder if you are the person you thought you would be when you were still living in your fantasies.
The second one: We All Fall Down
This image aimed to portray the dark interpretation of the nursery rhyme ‘Ring a Ring ‘o Rosie’.
It is also a representation of decaying childhood innocence as one learns of the concepts of life & death.
