General Pants Co. recently unveiled its most artistically charged store to date, the aesthetic being a meticulously thought-out creation in itself. Features include individually themed change rooms (as curated by the minds behind Mont La Roc, The Beta State, ksubi, Something, Insight, Lee, The Cassette Society and more), a living vertical garden, a dedicated denim area with one-on-one consults by trained denim specialists, a staged window geared to double as a progressive space for entertainment, and all highlighted by everyday objects and historical materials with stories to tell, now recycled into a new contemporary chapter…
The store pays homage to Melbourne’s electric cultural scene, the newest and finest store in our fleet, located in the city’s thumping heart, the iconic Bourke Street Mall…
Shop 1 London Store Building, 345 Bourke St, Melbourne.
On show: An exhibitions of works by local artists Sarah Pannell, Jessie French, Joash Tham, Bec Winnel, Eugenia Tsimiklis, Vien Thee and Shu Ming Shen, as discovered in the bubble.
For a glimpse of the store and the friendly team of staff, check the YouTube clip as created by Ben Mcnamara, discovered in season two of the bubble. Tune kindly provided by Season 1 bubble discoveries Pomomofo, track name 'Island'.
